Etsy Finds: Breaking Barriers

I've oft admired those smooth enough to break traditional gender barriers in their personal style. Debonair menswear is edging its way back into current fashion sensibilities and is making a name for itself in transitional pieces — whether you find yourself headed into early spring or autumn.

Today's Etsy Finds consist of my favorite takes on classic menswear elements for the ladies: fitted blazers, micro vests, button down shirts, and tailored trousers. Different weaves such as tweed, houndstooth and pinstripe caught my eye. High waists, thick belts, oxfords, pocket watches, rimmed eye glasses, and fedoras bring a refined air to any ensemble.

A wise woman once said, "Houndstooth is the new polka dot."

As trendsetting fashion mavens, we here at Etsy take this wisdom quite seriously. (Besides, we all know that polka dots are so passé — houndstooth is a classic! Color me British, y'all!)

For this week's trend, we've assembled an outfit (minus the boots, sadly!) that you can put together right here on Etsy. Let's start from the top:
