We have updated the "Etsy Shop" application for Facebook, a social networking site many Etsians use. The "Etsy Shop" application is like the Etsy mini but specifically for Facebook. We’re finding more and more Etsians — buyers and sellers — are using Facebook to spread the word about Etsy items and events, and this tool lets sellers show up to 6 of their items from their Etsy shops.

Here's a quick How-To to help you add an "Etsy Shop" to your Facebook profile.

Log in to (or create) your Facebook account and click here to go to the "Etsy Shop" application page.  You'll see a screen like you see below — enter your Etsy username, the number of items you want to show on your Facebook Profile, select where you want the items to feed in from and how you want them sorted. Click "Add."  Now that you have that set up, click "Home" right above where you see "Etsy Shop." Here you'll see the option to add this application to your profile.

Like many social networking sites, Facebook allows users to create groups, and there are lots you should check out…And you gotta register to be able to see those, so join us! Click here!

I started with this app, but changed it to an Etsy Mini code added in "My Stuff", then added it to my wall. How is the newer version different? Is it different from the Etsy Mini?

facebook got me some pretty good sales around christmas by updating my soap photo albums and status updates and links to my etsy page. friends you haven't seen in a while get pretty impressed! good way to network with old friends and new!

Once you add the app do this on the app page to get it to work
(Thanks to Mai Lei for instructions):
1. Type in your Etsy username, without the url. Just the username.
2. In the "Items to Show" box, type the number 6.
3. Click "shop" or "favorites," depending on what you want to showcase.

This is good - every bit helps.
Didn't have any problems installing it whatsoever.

I like the way facebook works when I network directly from my shop where I can promote my hats. When i do that it immediately links my description and lets me choose which picture I want to display. No need to copy and paste.

@thingomatic, just wanted to note that you can now add the Etsy Shop app to business pages on Facebook as well. Just click the "Add to Page" link on the Etsy Shop about page on Facebook.

I was very excited about this app, but after installing on Facebook, it appears to ONLY show up in my personal profile?

I HAD added it to my fan PAGE, and it shows up under Applications for that page, but I don't see it on the page itself. In the settings for the page all it says about Etsy is:
Etsy Shop | Display your most recent Etsy listings or Etsy Favorites on your Facebook profile.

In otherwords, why did I bother putting it in my Fan PAGE if it only shows under my personal profile where only my friends will see it?

Is it supposed to show up in the Fan page (as I assumed?). If yes, then what setting am I missing to make it appear in my fan PAGE.

If I can get this to show where I want it show, I'll be a happy little clam! Thanks for any help.

would be great if this could be fixed to work on business/fan pages as well as personal pages - there's a huge discussion on the app page about people who can't get it to work but it doesn't seem to be being noticed!

oh wow, i was just signed up with facebook today and was trying to figure how to get etsy on my profile and VOILA just when i gave up for the day, the answer magically appeared right here on etsy ... FANTASTIC

When is the Etsy Shop application going to be available to put on Facebook Pages and not just your personal profile page? That would make a great "update" for the application :)
