I'm just learning to use a sewing machine, and I made some cloth bags very similar to those in the video for packaging presents this year. It was a great way to get my feet wet with the sewing machine and make some reusable packaging too. And, it was a super cute way to wrap up gifts.

Oh, and my husband sewed about half the bags all by himself! Shhhh... don't tell anyone, but I think that my husband is better on the sewing machine than I am ;)

Useful suggestions that reduce our ecological footprints and are, at the same time, fresh + beautiful alternatives to run-of-the-mill packaging.

Great ideas. I found a supplier for silk gift bags and have been experimenting with painting on them for some unique and reusable gift bags as well. Thanks for the article.

Is it possible to add a step by step illustration with a pic each step next time? For sellers located in foreign country, it is too slow to watch youtube.
