Thanks Vanessa!
Excellent print, selflesh!;)
I want to point out that i *plan* to set up a blog just for this daily promo plan. and will be composing a NEW (and better thought out) forum thread very soon :)
keep posting those great ideas, everyone!
I got a sale from MySpace AND from regular renewing this week :)

Could you maybe be more specific about what these things are? Like IndiePublic and Deviant Art? I'm new to online stuff and this seems like great advice Im just not sure what it all means. Thanks!
Mumandi
I have almost no idea what you mean by all this. a check list is great, but for those of us who are just starting out. Please explain. Thanks.
theknitowl
Great idea! I sort of do all of that, but not in such an organized way.
xenarae
I have daily goals whee I list things similar to that. It really helps.
Beadymonkey
I do a lot of the things on the list and it does work. Also acknowledge repeat customers, you don't have to give the whole shop away but send them a little thank you, if they buy from me MULTIPLE times I even send something for them to give to a friend, it may be a discount card ( a little card with my info & percentage off) or a little pendant or earrings. Make new contacts, selling on line is a social thing just like selling in a B&M shop. You have to talk to people.

add your etsy.com url to your email signature on Yahoo.
Click on "options", go to "management" halfway down the column click on "signature", type in your url (http://www.susanhall.etsy.com) and click "save". Now every email that you send will have a link to your etsy store.

Thank you for the info. I'm looking to learn all the avenues available. Aspiring to become better at what I love to do!
janssendesigns
Thanks for this information! I'm new and need all the help I can get! I like susanhall's suggestion about the yahoo signature too. Hadn't thought of that.

I definately need to have a daily plan. This is a great list and I will probably use many of them :-)

I am new to Etsy. Thank you so much for all the tips. I'm going to myspace.com now. THanks!
JonesyAndCrane
Just took susanhall's advice and added www.jonesyandcrane.etsy.com as my signature for all my email accounts. Great idea and fast. Thanks!
tiedyedmonkeys
Thank you for the advice. All the ways to promote your self and get name recognition also applies to other aspects of my life. It is nice to be part of something so positive and hopeful.
PINKHOUSEORIGINALS
Thanks for the post - this is very helpful! I am new to Etsy and just listed my first item yesterday. I have a to-do list in my head...I just need to write it down!

Great ideas that make a LOT of sense! Thanks a billion!
Kinda makes us think, "now why didn't I think of that before?"
I will definitely get busy on all of those suggestions.
jessgrahamstudio
Ditto on the "please explain more." What is a site help thread? Otherwise, good marketing ideas, thanks!
gwenmade
looks like my to do list - I would also add Twitter to there as well..
disrepairproject
This is a good starting point. Also, check the etsywiki for some ideas.
Morockincreations
Great ideas! I've already taken your advice to heart! Thank you!

I'm lost! Where can I learn about threads, DeviantArt and IndiePublic? I've read so many articles, but still feel like I am on the outside.
featherandbird
This is a great forum and thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas. I particularly like the free gift give away for repeat customers (suggested by Beadmonkey) - I hadn't thought of that one - (though had been passing around a trinkets with a business card to local acquaintances - like the waitress at the cafe up the road.
I am a little confused by this though - when people have asked questions (such as Lilu "what do you mean by "Post on 5 Promo Threads on Etsy") have these answers been publicised? I'd really like to know about this feature too.
Thanks
pecanieregirl
great ideas, thanks for sharing. Just getting started. Need all the help I can get!!
CreateInPaper
Would have loved for this article to have explained more. Some of us are of a different generation. Why MySpace vs Facebook? Some of the other to do's are speaking a different language.
Having read through some of the comments, I did find some great ideas.
barefootbeadshawaii
Great advice, I have found the more you post, the more sales you have. (no brainer) but it takes a lot of work and upkeep! So keep at it.
