“My look is either very baroque or very Zen — everything in between makes me itch.” — Legendary tastemaker Iris Apfel
This week's edition of News From the Craft + Style Blogosphere has mellow Swedish interiors, fashionable menfolk, an organic alphabet, bright and cheerful botanical prints and style inspiration from photo album friends of the near to distant past.

I gain inspiration by analyzing fashions of the past, and the many stylish ladies featured on vielles_annonces's Flickr stream make me want to get out the old Polaroid and document my ensembles. [Via Me Melodia]
Visual representations of the alphabet need not be a boring Times New Roman affair. Elka Dopludo's Organic Alphabet illustrations show off the many flexible shapes and materials characters can assume. [Via Ana Montiel]
I love me a fashionable dude, and Street Etiquette makes my toes curl with joy! Be it corduroy, pocket squares or Cowichan knit sweaters, the men behind this street style blog are always forward-thinking with their clothing choices and the trends they pursue (and they make sure to tell you where similar styles can be found).
The bold floral patterns of Jobs Handprinted Textiles remind me of vintage botanical specimen posters. [Via Ungtblod]
These mellow and monochromatic interiors were photographed by Swedish photog Stellan Herner. The mixture of textures (concrete, slate and fuzzy rugs) reminds me of Abigail Ahern's pleasant home. [Via Style Files]

Beautiful photography! Damn, I am jealous. Lomography is also amazing type of old style photography, I find it looking even cooler than the old style Polaroid camera photos...

That is exactly how I would dress my son if I had one - as an updated preppy kid complete with sperry topsiders and "statement socks". Hey, that's a little like I dress, too. Love.
chakrapennywhistle
Man, if only my husband would dress like that :) Loving everything! Great etsy finds too!
