Recommended Blogs: Skull-a-day Visits the Etsy Labs

Subscribe to our Youtube channel if you love handmade skulls! We figured we'd bring you a special Recommended Blog this week to get you in a spooky mood.

Noah Scalin (who we'd been referring to simply as Skull-a-day guy for a while) dropped by the Etsy Labs when he was in NYC . He's based in Richmond, VA and happened to be here on business for his day-job.  And even when he's traveling, he's still compelled to do his side-project: a daily blog post on Skull-a-day in which he creates a skull out of something — anything.

He'll be doing it for a whole year and at this point, he's about four monthes in. And he is not burnt out at all.  This guy has a passion for skulls!

Noah also turns out to be passionate about everything in his day-to-day life.  He started his own online design business, Another Limited Rebellion Design, for which he only takes socially conscious clients. The skull-a-day project was a way for him to make tangible art, everyday.

Here you see the beautiful skull he created at the Etsy Labs out of lace trimmings. We had to climb up on a ladder to get the proper perspective!

I enjoyed watching your process too. I think we need to have more excuses to climb on ladders to look at art.
