Etsy has had quite a growth spurt in the past year, and we have the awkward pictures to prove it. We'll be posting a series of About Us pieces to help you get to know the Etsy admin (and since many of us work remotely, for the admin to get to know each other!). You've seen the admin badge, and maybe you're a bit curious about the person behind it! For more on Etsy's mission and about the company, please see our About page (the link is in the little blue footer of every Etsy page).
Introducing Caleb, aka calebwalt: a sassy, soft-spoken Southern boy with a heart of gold! Caleb is a painter, printmaker, and likes to draw pointillist compositions of random folks on the subway. Although saddened when Pop Tart breakfast cereal was discontinued in the late 80's, Caleb has managed to accomplish much. He has worked with several great artists since his arrival in New York, including Chuck Close and Jenny Holzer. (You can see his self portrait below.) We are so glad to have him as part of the Etsy Support Team!
I was reading down the article thinking 'he's cute!' then suddenly there's butt-in-the-air shot. Now I don't know what to think. It has some good paint work on it though!
CW, glad to see a local fellow from the sticks. I am in NE AR (Paragould) as well. Congrats on the baby! I do a lot of wildlife drawings depicting our resident critters and place them baby items:) We have a street team for Arkansas and I directed them to the Storque so they can greet you as well!
I am a neophyte seller who gets an immediate glaze in the eyes when looking at forms and manuals. So, after the SECOND helpful and speedy response from "Caleb" to my pathetic henny-penny calls for help, I started to think these were just auto responses with a humanized name, like Betty Crocker or Li'l Debbie. So of course I inanely professed my love when I received the exact help I needed, cuz I'm prone to verbal diarrhea anyway.
Well hot dang, "Caleb" is real. But I still luz you!!!!
