Brrr! It's early April, and still a bit chilly here in Brooklyn. Weather aside, the latter half of March has been kind. Forbes Magazine just published an article along the line of, "old meets new" about how Etsy is at the forefront of the booming online craft movement. It also covers the nuts and bolts, along with describing a few of our, "high-minded ambitions."
In colder news, The Anchorage Daily News ran a great profile on Etsy and local shopkeep anniepants. The StarTribune, of equally frigid Minneapolis - St. Paul, featured a story about our warm and welcoming community, which concluded with a great quote from Matt, "We want to encourage people to be conscientious consumers." Something to keep in mind as Earth Day approaches. In (perhaps?) warmer Idaho, The Idaho Statesman had an article with a similar bent, saying, "Etsy is a marketplace, but it also supports consumer consciousness and the little guy." Too true! Finally, getting back to the lions, check out this podcast featuring our very own Charles, Mary, and Matt on yarncraft.lionbrand.com. And with that, I wish you fond April showers and rising thermometers.
