News From the Craft + Style Blogosphere: September 18, 2008

This week's edition of News From the Craft + Style Blogosphere is all photography. Some of the photos are pleasant reminders of autumn, others are projects to do (faux bois walls, anyone?), and some are simply examples of the wonders a camera can produce.

Read on!

If this isn't fall, I don't know what is. Photography blog Shorpy posted this adorable glimpse into autumns past. Eat that apple, baby!

Readymade has great instructions on how to produce a faux bois effect for your walls. [Via It's Knot Wood]

Don't these photos make you want to spend some time outdoors? Elisabeth Dunker makes the world a little brighter. [Via Fine Little Day]

Interested in typography? (Specifically, the bad kind.) Check out the Bad Type Flickr pool devoted to detailing all the imperfect signage and lettering out in the world. [Via Uppercase Gallery]

Anne Naumann's photography is completely and utterly stunning. Her blog, strandgut, is also pretty awesome. [Via What Possessed Me]

I love Anne Naumann's photography and the way she works with color. She embraces rich colors in the best ways possible.

love Elisabeth Dunker's acorns. I was out taking pics myself yesterday morning (not on etsy yet though!). Lot's of misty sunrises, ripe berries and dew covered spiderwebs in Cornwall at this time of year...

Lovely post! I particularly like the bad type flickr pool. The photos you posted remind me of Abby Hendrickson's photo collections of Buffalo (like this, except these are actually kind of opposite, NO type: http://aestheticoutburst.blogspot.com...).

Wonderful pictures! I love the baby with the apple- true essence of autumn!

I love that apple munching baby!

I also wanted to point out that (if I'm not mistaken) the faux bois wall treatment is from the home of Etsy sellers Shauna and Stephen of Somethings Hiding In Here. I think they did a tutorial for it. Isn't that neat?

Yes, I should have mentioned that! It is from somethingshidinghere. They are the bomb!
