Etsy Couples: Check out These Pairings!

In this season of love, we have to showcase all the love betwixt Etsians and their handmade wonders in our series Etsy Love Stories. With a community as great as Etsy, lots of fantastic brains get to interact and it can turn into a craft coupling! We found out about these collaborations in the Etsy Forums. Check out these pairs.

This beautiful Japanse inspired vase was created by woodturner FlintRidgeWoodWorks, with artwork by friend and new Etsyian banshuwa.

Two-year Etsy veteran sweetestpea and hubby Goobeetsa opened a new shop called drperfect.  In this new shop they are collaborating on some great new plushie characters.

Totusmel
and electrofork have teamed up to make some amazing tatted necklaces with resin pendants.

Another husband and wife team works together to design and create magestic dream catchers.  Mindysembroidery is responsible for the detailed threadwork and beadedart is the hands behind the dream catcher construction.

Polymer clay artist Alaliese works with Etsy artists to make a series of Etsy artists on clay, this one is from AshleySpatula.

Love, love, love! Have you collaborated with another artist in the past? Tell us about it in the comments!

I love seeing these great collaborative pieces!

My husband and I love to collaborate! We come up with design ideas together - then he draws all of the images and then I screen print them onto apparel, totes, notecards, etc. So much fun!

My husband is a graphic designer and also has a shop on Etsy. We have done some custom note cards and had them beautifully and professionally printed by Heather of jonesnotions. If we would have used any one else, the cards wouldnt have been nearly as gorgeous! They all were breathtaking!!!

My husband drew the card above originally for a mixed cd he gave to me. Then we designed one for winter with scarves.. We are contstantly bouncing ideas off each other. I hold his opinion in very high regard. oh love oh etsy.

My husband is a photographer. He makes a TON of prints. I took one that was lying around and, making sure the image would face out, folded it into an origami box and hung it on the wall. Now we have a series of petite finished canvases.

I blogged about it on the Baltimore Etsy Street Team's website so now you can do it too! Give it a try...

my boyfriend and i are both artists and our work is pretty different, but almost 2 yrs ago, we started to go to manhattan flea markets and find old junk to fix up. there was a lot of stuff we wished we could get but we had no use for it.

then we found out about etsy and selling vintage items! its been tons of fun, going hunting at the fleas, then working side by side to sand and polish and restore all the junk to its wonderful original state!

we work really hard at fixing up out stuff, so its not just like reselling old stuff that we know is cool. and after working together for a few months on this, we're coming up with handmade items that aren't so different from one another as well!

etsy is wonderful and we hope to one day make our entire livings off our store. THANK YOU ETSY!

My wife (Thymesense) and I have been working together creatively for over 37years. We have farmed and crafted in many forms although we usually work in different mediums so the tools don't wander off. Lately I have been carving wood findings for her jewelry making. while only one is listed presently

There are more in the works. We critique each other and find inspiration in each other's work.

We both joined Etsy over two years ago when our grown son suggested that we "check it out". We are both glad to be here and check in several times daily.

There are 2 phenomenal artists on etsy- Roxy B. Montoya http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=... and Albert Montoya http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=...
They are husband and wife and they totally inspire one another- look at their styles similar but not, very complimentary- Also they do art shows together and promote each other- They are the cutest, have a family and one on the way- I think they would be very interesting to do a story on!

DuplicateDaughters (yes, us!) is a collaboration between twins. My sister sold under titancia.net and I sold under Secondhand Styles. Before etsy, we'd thought about coming together, but it was too difficult. Along with the timing, it was etsy that brought us together. If it wasn't for etsy, we wouldn't be selling under one name. Before signing up for an account, we thought about a name to combine us and this is what we came up with (identical twins=duplicates of each other). I love etsy because with it we were able to merge our different styles and become the team we'd always wanted to be.
