Hidden inside my baseball card collection are some of my most valuable possessions from my youth. Collecting cards for me was a way to learn about the teams and the players and have an opportunity to brag whenever I got a special player, or a rare card. The difference between owning a player’s card and just seeing posted on the net is that you own the card, and therefore have a personal relationship with what’s on it. The beauty is that value is truly in the eye of the beholder. A card from your favorite athlete is one you want to keep safe.
Since some of those cards are priceless to me I found a display case made by Homeplateheroes that I think would make a great Father's Day gift (hint to my wife). The Baseball with 3Cards Hompleplate Shaped Display Case is a great way to both display and preserve your favorite cards. The cases are custom made and you can even select the wood color to match your favorite team’s colors. I think it’s a must-have for someone looking for a sleek and classy case to safe keep your valuable A-Rod rookie cards.
