Etsy Finds: Decanters
Article Header Image

My interest in decanters began when I heard the George Jones song that goes, "Last night I broke the seal on a Jim Beam decanter that looks like Elvis." I put this song on a tape for some friends of mine in Asheville who like to keep their house liquor-stocked in vintage crystal decanters.  Appropriately enough, they eventually found three Jim Beam Elvis decanters at an antique store.  I was fortunate enough to be around one of the times they "pulled the head off Elvis."

I want to hear that song now.
I just saw a musical decanter at the antique store the other day. It played music when you picked it up.
Great finds Jason !!!

"And I broke Elvis's nose
pouring the last drop from his toes."

my favorite George Jones song ever!

And strangely enough, I found out about it when a friend put it on a "going away" mix tape for me the week before I moved to Asheville....
