My fascinator, ah, fascination (sorry!) began with this photo of the lovely Sherbet Tone from the Wardrobe Remix* group on Flickr:

I searched them out on Etsy, and lo! Fascinators as far as the eye can see. If you want the one pictured (from houndztooth), you'd better move quickly because the girl sells her amazing feathered headgear so fast, I can never seem to snag one! Do a search on Etsy and you'll find a bunch of results.
And what exactly is a fascinator? Well, it's like a hat but less substantial and more of a decorative flight of fancy. In short, it's a hair accessory often made with "feathers, flowers, or beads" according to Wikipedia. Fascinating!

that's so funny, i was just searching for fascinators a minute ago.
one of my "fashion goals" last year was to wear more hats and so i am always on the look-out for cool ones.
