It's funny how while searching on Etsy, one item can inspire a 15-minute, winding, convoluted hunt for more. This morning I randomly came across this Sacrum Art Dress Recycled Vintage Slip by Toolgrrl; I was just captivated by the story behind it and how it was something further than a functional dress. So then I went to poke around Etsy for more pieces that were elaborate, storied, rich in texture, made with a unique technique or perhaps large scale. I found all these shops in the Luxury Gift Guide or by searching by price on Etsy (see this article for how to do it). Any of these are worthy of a collection or gallery. Enjoy!
Beautiful, traditional and complicated, these wrapping cloths are a product of contemporarystitches' theoretical research into motherhood. $630.
