Since I moved from Seattle into a new Brooklyn apartment, I'm in search of a few tables — a dining room table, a coffee table, and maybe a side table. The new place, after all, is shaped (and sized) differently than the old one (thank you, Brooklyn).
Etsy is an amazing place for furniture — not only is it handmade (and possibly made from reclaimed materials), it's usually cheaper! Brick and mortar galleries sometimes will take a 50% commission on items sold. At Etsy, the artist only pays 3.5%, so many times artists choose to pass on some of the savings to you in the form of lower prices. Everybody wins!
I really like this dotted coffee table by NorthForge. Below you'll see some other pieces that I liked; I hope you like them, too!

The best thing about Etsy is the vast array of unique items. Not only does it decentralize production, it decentralizes Ideas! Yah!
