Etsy Finds: Vintage Planters

I've recently become totally obsessed with plants. (Despite my persistent black thumb.) If I had my way, I'd fill my apartment to the brim with every type of plant possible. (As I always say, who doesn't want to live in the jungle?) Until that day comes, I'm happy to tend my little window gardens with all the succulents I can conceivably keep alive. Now I'm looking for homes for all my little plant babies, and Etsy Vintage delivers the goods. Vintage planters, ho!

Pink Planter. Vintage Cottage Style Planter.

How cool! Something I never thought to look for on etsy. That scalloped green one will sell in moments I think.

You've discovered my weakness! I collect these little beauties and use them for everything--mail sorter, vases, coin dish, art supply holder... The variety of colorful glazes and shapes get me every time!

I have sold lots of items but have a complete stash of vintage planters for some reason. I see it as my rainy day fund.
Love the article and the items.
Vintage planters can be used for many things, not just plants BTW.

I also love vintage planters, and I have about 60 dog planters from the 30s, 40s and 50s. The glaze colors and different breeds get me hooked, and I use them in every room of the house to hold plants, pencils, soap, q-tips, you name it!

[the scotty dog is still around and if he doesn't sell, I am going to take Leafpeople's advice and use it to hold my toothpaste!]

I have a cool vintage shell planter that I got from sweetrice. I love this collection. Thanks for putting it together Alison. As for the black thumb, get yourself a philodendron. You can't kill them I forget to water mine for weeks on end and then I water and they perk right back up.
