I love all these ideas! Having something special in one's stocking makes it an even bigger surprise, since that's usually the domain of cheap dollar store trinkets and toothbrushes. Of course, as a jewelry maker, I think the jewelry is the best idea of all. <3

Yes, I totally agree - go for quality, handmade items for the stockings :) I've gone too many years with cheap stocking trinkets awaiting me on Christmas morning.

Just because stocking stuffers tend to be inexpensive items, doesn't mean they still can't be handmade - or useful!

My family or readers and crafty ladies are received charm bookmarks and stitch markers from me!

Couldn't agree more - small gifts don't have to be throwaways.

Because I can't give kids my jewelry, I'm going to give these adorable little Waldorf-style dolls to all the little ones in my family as stocking stuffers:

Hear hear! It's cruddy to get a stocking full of cheeapo stuff you'll never use/wear, or won't enjoy. What's the point of that? I make little homemade cookie/candy bags for family stockings as well as trying to find etsy and other handmade goodies to tuck in there. Now if only there were someone to do the same for me... *sigh* :P

kellarama (maker of the peeps soap) is awesome. :) I bought some stocking stuffers from her for this year. She makes oreo soaps too, and custom made peanut butter oreos that I'm giving to my peanut butter oreo fanatic. Very cool.

Great list! I like adding ACEOs and other mini art, as well as ornaments or little plushies that can be displayed year round. Fun, hooray for stocking stuffers!

Excellent ideas! I like it, I had not even thought of stocking stuffers, people will now be getting better things than scratch tickets and toothpaste!

My stocking stuffer gift idea could very possibly come from my shop! :-) Buyers have told me that's what they will be using them for!
