Back to School: Sophisticated Collegiate

Back to school doesn't have to mean lunch boxes, dorm rooms or the return of recess; it can also be a return to something more sophisticated, brimming with satchels, day planners and elegant cardigan sweaters, complete with elbow patches. This collection of items is for the collegiate continuing her education, be it a master's degree or simply a return to the world of higher learning.

The capacity for intellectual curiosity is something to be nurtured. Even if you're not headed back to school, a fresh notebook and a newly sharpened pencil are an exciting opportunity to let your ideas flourish.

I went to A&M about a gazillion years ago and even I didn't recognize it in the pic. It's not know for being such a lovely campus.

I was so surprised to click this link and see Texas A&M photographed. I currently attend there and I immediately recognized the icon that is the Century Oak, one of the most beautiful spots on campus. Wonderful features. Actually makes me a bit excited to be returning to that exact spot in a few weeks.

Of course, given the weather in Texas at this time of year, have fun sweating inside your blazer, and getting sweat all over the leather day planner :) It won't be blazer weather until at least late October or mid November. I say this as someone who lived in Texas from 1964-1997.
