A girl may spend her single life dreaming about the special day she'll utter the words, "I do." Being raised by high school sweethearts, I learned firsthand the many special ways a couple can keep their love burning strong for over 30 years: home cooked family dinners, walks in the park and impromptu dances to old country love songs. These romantic moments instilled a twang deep in my heart.
One day, when that perfect man manages to lasso my affections, we'll have a wedding that celebrates the folks who taught me about true love and the importance of honoring passed down country traditions. It'll be a simple wedding, with plenty of handmade touches, a borrowed family heirloom, a worn piece of denim as our something blue — and of course, lots of lace and boot scootin' boogie.

I have to say, I'm really bummed by the heaving emphasis on weddings in these "etsy finds" postings, especially since they all seem to be hetero weddings. I know it's a time when people do more buying and money spending than usual, and I'm totally down with them spending for hand-made! I just wish there were highlights of -other- important life events, even things like baby room decor, but also first days of work, friendship anniversaries, celebrating/recovering from divorce, buying a home/property, or even getting permits for your squat! That said, the items above are lovely, and I adored the esty items I bought for my own wedding last June.

All these items are really great. I particularly love the Woody Flask and the Floral Belt.
But I do have to agree that I'm very much over the whole Wedding-themed Etsy Finds. Neither I nor any of my friends or family have the inclination to get married any time soon. And while, yes, I'm sure there are many in this world that are itching to tie the knot in the next few weeks/months/years, I think the amount of Wedding-themed Finds we've had is a bit of overkill.
What about birthday presents for him/her/the kids? Anniversary gifts for relationships or friendships? "What to wear so that you don't stick out like a sore thumb when going touristing through X & Y countries"? House-warming gifts? I'd love to see some more local stuff too; local to Australia in particular.
But yes, all these items are very lovely.

Fantastic, Although cobows don't exist in Israel, my wedding was a hand made wedding, I was married at my parents home, they did all the cooking for 600 people,
we decorated it ourself and my husbands musician friends
were the band, my dress was upsycled Flea market nightgawn .... so you raised happy memories,.... and we are still maried with 2 wonderful suns
