This weekend's Get the Look: Decor is inspired by the mid-century modern influenced Salem, Massachusetts home of Nicole and Niclas and their two daughters, Matilda and Linnea. Nicole admits to having a bit of an Etsy shopping addiction which is made clear upon touring her home. She has a keen eye for finding great deals on vintage furniture and home accessories, and recently began selling vintage items in her Etsy shop, atomic.etsy.com.
Nicole says her home style is influenced by Etsy, flickr, finding creative solutions for storing her children's toys and her love for entertaining and throwing parties. Her children have an incredible playroom where each toy seems to have both a decorative and playful function. She fills her home with bright colors and beautiful mid-century furniture that she is proud to have found at great bargain prices.

Mix And Match Your Own Set Of Wall Art Blocks
Nicole has an amazing collection of art from many talented Etsy artists, including several pieces by mid-century inspired artist, Suzanna Anna. Her shop has a great selection of mix-and-match pieces that look great hung together. By suzannaanna, $28.

Nicole is all about decorating on a budget, and an easy way to save a little extra money is to make your own pillows and curtains. Etsy has a great selection of vintage and handmade fabrics to choose from, including this colorful tablecloth by the infamous Vera Neumann. From lulubliss, $15.

I love the colorful corner in Nicole's home where she features her collection of vegetable themed artwork. This delicious avocado would add a fun splash of color to your kitchen — or wherever you like to eat guacamole. By bluemango, $75.
Nicole is thankful for her children's playroom when entertaining, as it provides a designated space for her little ones to run wild with their friends (meanwhile giving the adults the freedom to have grown-up conversations.) Nicole has a unique collection of vintage treasures that she finds at estate sales, flea markets, yard sales and thrift shops. She displays these finds throughout her home, including several busts and mannequin heads. I'm adding more photos of stuff as we've got SO MUCH etsy in our house. I'm trying to give credit where credit is due -- so many awesome artists here. I pass the etsy love on as often as I can. If Al Gore gave us nothing else when he gave us the internet, he gave us etsy and that's good enough for me.
