Faux leather/Vinyl is seriously one of the most un-eco friendly substance out there.

Vinyl is made from petroleum, natural gas and salt. Vinyl burns slowly, and it will begin to loose its shape when it reaches 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Great article. Thank your for including my bird feeder. I get a lot of comments from my customers on how much they love the fact that I make these bird feeders out of previously used material. Also, every one of these feeders that I have sold has been packed up using 100% upcycled materials. I get used boxes and used eco friendly packing peanuts from my local healthfood grocery, cut the boxes open, turn em inside out and down to the appropriate size and decorate. Help the birds take back the streets! woo hoo!

i love these eco picks:) It'd be cool to see some recycled paper goods stuff too. I think alot of us art makers are practicing green printing and using 100% post consumer waste recycled paper. This is what i use for my stationery range too.

Great topic, when you really look around, it's surprising how easy it can be to go green. We've been using a dryer ball and reusable shopping bags for the last few years, but it's super to see more green options here on Etsy.

One of the most wasteful resource we use is paper but we just can't live without it. So whenever I use it, I always buy recycled and resue as much as I can (double side, folding paper orgami before recycling it...) //Eco cards at my shop//

Even vinyl can become environmentally friendly if saved from a landfill. Many companies have overruns that would otherwise be tossed. Reusing, repurposing, upcycling, recycling, is where it's at for sustainabilty.

Thanks also for featuring my eco friendly papers. I created this business as an alternative to big box office stores who sell such a pathetic amount of recycled paper goods. Paper is one of the easiest materials to reuse and repurpose.
