Etsy Finds: Other Peoples' Favorites

I love haunting peoples' favorites on Etsy. With over 150,000 shops on the site nowadays, it can be a tiny bit difficult to keep track of all the best stuff. But take heart, my lazy readers: in the right sidebar of a person's shop or profile, between "Profile" and "Feedback," you can sneak a peek at their "Favorites" — both items and shops. Whenever I'm at a loss for things to feature, I pore through my favorites' favorites.

Today, I decided to make a daisy chain of favorite items, shop to shop to shop. I hope you like it!


Brown Bunny Finger Puppet

Mother's Day is coming up so I figured a nice place to start was my own mother's favorites. She had favorited this cute finger puppet by staceyrebecca (another awesome mom and rad person in general). $12.

20,000 Leagues Shadow Puppet Set, Black

Stacey's a puppeteer, and had marked peer orangemoontoys as a favorite shop. I really dug these shadow puppet sets for $30.

Orangemoontoys had this amazing knitted vivisected frog by CraftyHedgehog in her favorite items ($59).

AzureGrackle had bookmarked a handbound journal by beetlelady, $28.

Beetlelady had favorited a piece by marmar that had already sold, so I went and choose this charming silver squirrel pendant, $26.

And finally, marmar had marked a shop called tweetsweet, where I spied these wonderful, one-of-a-kind canary earrings, $18.

I can get lost in the maze of favorites and spend many hours clicking away, discovering new shops, or new items in shops I already know and love. This was a great idea for an article with lovely choices (I especially love Azure's print)!

This is exactly how I shop Etsy. I am constantly clicking around through people's favorites to find new shops and items. I am excited to take a look at these new shops. Great article!

Ha! I do that all the time! Fantastic finds - I was just talking about those shadow puppets the other day as my 5 year old has figured out that dark room + candle + hands = nifty shadows on the wall that he can control. He's mesmerized. Thanks for reminding me of that shop!
