Some of my fondest memories of summer are the grand family reunions of my youth. We'd descend upon the local park, set out a web of haphazardly placed blankets in patchwork and gingham prints, then proceed to gossip, have impromptu hot dog eating contests and languidly sunbathe while floating in the adjacent pool. What a special thread! As I'm leaving Sunday to go to WV for our family reunion. I will be there 2 weeks and I have not been back in 15 years. I'm looking forward to it, as I will be going with my brother, his wife and daughter. We will take lots of pictures, tell stores, play music, and eat till we pop. I hope the younger generation make it a point to carry on this tradition. Its so important that todays youth know they have a strong family. God and Family are my rocks!

Ha ha, we were too busy to read this article yesterday
because we were throwing a fabulous birthday bash in the backyard. The tablecloths we used were all vintage, as were the dishes, glasses and tiered desert plates....and we bought glass candles and vases at the dollar store, and decorated them with ribbons, pebbles and fresh peonies.
