Hello, Etsy! Sue and Danny here from The Renegade Craft Fair. After a busy summer hosting fairs from coast to coast, we've returned home to hold the 7th Annual Renegade Craft Fair in CHICAGO! The event takes place September 12 + 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Division St. between Damen Ave. and Paulina St. in the Wicker Park neighborhood — where the whole Renegade operation began! 

Our events are always free to attend and feature hundreds of the most talented and original DIY craftspeople around — many of whom sell their handmade goods on Etsy! Today's Etsy Finds will help get those shopping lists started — so be sure to check out some of the stellar products from a handful of artists appearing in the Fair. We hope to see you at Renegade Chicago — it's sure to be a blast! Even if you're far from the Windy City, these finds will keep you in the loop.

Not exactly Chicago, I've been invited to take part in a craft fair in Amsterdam (Holland) dedicated to upcycling. Though I've been 'with' the organizer for years I'm particularly happy with her theme for this season and two of my items will be featured in a booklet to promote the event:

I miss downtown, I love the picture. Used to go downtown just to drive around, down Lake Shore Drive or as the song says LSD. I want to go driving downtown, people who do not live around Chicago you are missing it, at night, the lights, the lake, the fountain, go to North Street Beach you can walk out on the break water, scary for me, but so pretty. looking at the drake and the Sears Tower (will always be the Sears Tower) it is like a pop up book against the stars in the sky

When I look at the European Craft Scene and compare it with what's going on in the US I can't help to feel envy. It's so much cooler over there. The markets seem to carry a much better spirit than they do around here. Some day I have to make trip and visit all these cool DIY places.
