While many children have recently headed back to school, there are plenty of families who are settling into another productive year of homeschooling. This week's Get the Look: Decor is inspired by the Filer-Dougal family, who have created a home that doubles as an inspiring educational space for their two children. From reading nooks to nature cabinets, the Filer-Dougal home is filled with everything needed to stimulate a child's active imagination. Though the atmosphere is decidedly child-friendly, there is a sophisticated balance of modern design and antique treasures that any grown-up would be happy to call home.
Between homeschooling two children and taking care of a pug, two parakeets, nine fish and 10,000 snails, mother Courtney also manages to find time to create a beautiful line of jewelry, which she sells on Etsy under the name Eva666. Her home studio is a relaxing, well organized retreat where she can briefly escape the often chaotic life that comes with raising two children (who sometimes sell their handmade goodies at LennonAndRose).

Good for that family! I have homeschooled my children for the past 12 years and had my oldest graduate this past June. I homeschooled as a married Mama for 9 years and now have homeschooled 5 kids for the past 3 as a single mama while attending college and running my Etsy shop.
It's great to see other homeschool families responding on this thread. Homeschooling looks so different from family to family!

make your own terrarium, theres a cute idea for a mini world and that "tile" with wood and mini trees. I'm loving anything that is a model or scale versions of places.

I was home schooled in high school, but before that I went to both public and private school. I think this could be helpful for anyone who just wants their kids to be active and interested in learning at home.
