May 16, 2009 at 3:25 p.m. lsagar

Crafters need to know that most people who go to craft shows, intend to shop and buy something. However, shoppers at Craft shows are easily overwhelmned. Here at Etsy we often refer to this as the "Paradox of Choice". Consequently, creating a professional visual display of your product is very important. To do this and maintain authenticity, many of the selects shown here by Danielle are great for that balance between display and easy set-
up..Lets not forget logistics rule at Craft Shows.

May 16, 2009 at 3:37 p.m. ehmio

May 16, 2009 at 4:09 p.m. breadandroses

Isagar is on point re: the balance of visual appeal & balancing show logistrics. Easy does it on all counts. Having done numerous show through the years, I'm sold on having a few key vintage display elements. If they set up & fold down flat in a jiffy, they're in. Vintage wooden drying racks are terrific for textiles & more + take minimal space in vehicle.

Great article!
Old picture frames are great for displaying jewellery, and I've got some vintage metal filing sorters that I use for organizing sheets of glass, so much better than the plastic ones you can buy these days.

I just added a couple of the Lacey 3 tiered trays in my shop, they do make great displays for food, or soaps, or whatever you can think of.

May 19, 2009 at 9:47 a.m. riricreations
