Sometimes I ache for the life of a jet setter: constantly taking off to exotic locales at the drop of a hat, picking up precursory foreign language tidbits (Spaseebo balshoye!), and meandering through cobblestone streets with nowhere in particular to go.
Now is the season to venture out in the world and bask in new cultural experiences. Whether it's a foreign destination or close to home, no trip would be complete without kitschy souvenirs to remind you of your journeys. Enjoyed all the finds with there destination cities. The tap from the rockettes is sweet. Thanks for my journey this saturday morning to other parts of the world.

Ha! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BETTER than fabulously tacky, kitschy over-the-top souvenir tat. Brilliant collection! I was especially blown away by the lederhosen.

My mom and her family of 8 spent an entire summer driving through Europe in a VW bus in the mid 60s. It rained the entire time and my grandma made three complete meals a day on a camp stove. Now THAT'S a vintage vacation!

Love this collection! We're staying close to home more because of $$$, but I love it when I find vintage lace for on my cards, or vintage looking paper like I used on my BLESSING blocks...even old hat boxes to use in displays! Whoever thought I'd even want to be home working on my etsy shop instead of at the beach or on the road...it's hard to believe!!!Thanks for the blast from the past...

Healthy escapism! Would love to get lost on the backroads of New England this summer. Blueberry picking in Maine sounds divine. I yearn to walk down a dirt road, no traffic. Don't have to go too far to be somewhere with a totally different feel.
