This week's Featured Buyer is Justina Blakeney. Justina Blakeney co-owns Compai, a crafty, green design studio where magical and crazy things occur on a regular basis. Justina is also the DIY editor at Venus Zine and co-author of three kickass craft-books: 99 Ways to Cut, Sew, Trim and Tie Your T-shirt into Something Special, 99 Ways to Cut, Sew and Deck out Your Denim and 99 Ways to Cut, Tie and Rock Your Scarf. Justina loves watercolors, pesto, clay, big buttons and small details, bird-cages, velour, bicycles, and veggie burritos.
Below you'll find her Etsy faves. Enjoy!

This whimsical yet structured dress reminds me of Alice in Wonderland meets Audrey Hepburn: two of my style icons.

Sometimes the most gentle touch can transform a vintage garment from drab to fab — and photosynthesis has exemplified this concept by adding these dainty, unexpected flowers to the hemline.

It's not just because it's a "j," or because of the rad, floral typeface…and it's not just because I'm trying to eliminate the plastic bag from my life. Okay, maybe it because of those three things...is that wrong? I just love this tote.

This essential design makes me smile and Ash Hilton's ring has the distinctive ability to make the jewelry look modern without looking too cold or minimal.

Call it a homage to California, but I just love this chair. It's comfy, and modern, and has poppies on it (the California state
flower), and it's made from reclaimed materials. What more could a Cali girl ask for? (Besides, perhaps, a Featured Buyer's discount? Wink, wink.)
[nuno – zori by nadessicco]

I love the style of the Japanese slipper, and when nadessicco added the bit about walking around with them to clean the wooden floors, I was sold.
[Vida Necklace by ilaments]

I am usually not a huge fan of skull and cross-bone design items, but something about this skull appeals to me — might be the heart-nose, the flower, or the word "vida" that is etched into it, but to me, this necklace looks feminine, powerful and uplifting.

I saw bicyclepaintings' work at the Renegade Craft Fair last summer and bought a print from her. I love when artists pick something they like and stick to it. Her simple, iconic silhouettes remind me to pump up my tires and to take my wheels for a spin.

If you've ever tried to make a lampshade, then you'll know how challenging a task it is. I am dying to get my hands on one of lamplighter's shades for my cozy Parisian style boudoir (that I hope to have someday…).
[Birdcage earrings by BirdlandCreations]

These earrings could find a permanent home on my lobe.
[Tiny Tree Valance by creativeneurosis]

I think that creativeneurosis found a really cute way to improve on the view with these Grandma-chic curtains.
[Floral Knickers by ruffledclothing]

For a while I was all about thongs, but I'm over it — it's all about the knickers now. More is more when it comes to cute panties, and ruffledclothing has figured it all out with the styli vintage fabric and all.
[DESIGN YOUR OWN Candy Thief Sparkle Band by thecandythief]

Prada came out with a floral headband a few years back that I drooled over until I just faced the facts that I could not, in good conscience, spend that kind of money on a headband. Those times are over thanks to two factors: 1) The Handmade Pledge 2) thecandythief's killer floral headband.

I adore peacocks and turquoise — this bracelet reminds me of those two things rolled into one helluva wrist ornament piece.

I just love this llama…and the softness of Alternative Apparel T-shirts…and the colors. This comaandcotton T-shirt is the kind of shirt that I could keep in my wardrobe for forty years, until I become a grandma, and put it on, and still look fresh.
What a fresh take! For more Justina, check out Venus Zine or any of her amazing How-To books.
