This week's Featured Buyer is the witty, always humorous blogger Emily Gould of EmilyMagazine and Gawker fame. We admire her spunk, and thought we'd have her choose her Etsy faves for your perusal. Without further ado, here's Emily. Enjoy!

So the logic behind most of my picks is this: I lived with a boyfriend for three years, left him, started dating someone else right away and broke up with him just as quickly. Now I'm living in my own place for the first time and I want to surround myself with stuff that's all mine, as weird or crazy or random or girly as I want it to be.

 
Like for example, Lisa Congdon's soft sculpture of an anatomical heart should remind me to be more careful of what I do with mine next time around.


When people come over for fabulous dinner parties in my EAT IN KITCHEN (Ha! I win at the game of life!), they will certainly admire these floursack kitchen towels which bear the likeness of owls. For a while I used to always be on the lookout for owl themed things at thrift stores because I dated a guy whose frat mascot was the owl. That was kind of a different lifetime.

Dear god, these salt and pepper shakers are SHAPED LIKE SEALS.


But maybe you'd prefer to use the ones that are shaped like RADISHES?


I have a big new claw foot tub that's perfect for taking bubble baths. I picked these bath bombs because they have "healing" in their name, and heaven knows I'm in need of healing.


I picked this painting because it was the girliest one i could find. To me it says, "HELLO A GIRL LIVES HERE."


I love this print because it was "loosely inspired" by the song "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" by Stevie Nicks (with Tom Petty). Man, that's a good song! Not the best song on Bella Donna by far though. (That would have to be "Think About It.")


Okay, let's face it. I am going to be drinking a lot. I'll need some cute tumblers.
