Get fresh for 2009 by shopping the vast pool of new-to-the-scene Etsy sellers!  Here are my Fresh Shop picks for this week. I found most of these via Pounce, where you can discover brand spankin' new Etsy artists or see what has just sold.  It's magical, really.

Great to see new people on Etsy. What a great new years resolution, to decide to put your handmade things up for sale in 2009. You'll find that the people on Etsy have such a loving and giving heart. So different from those other "big box" websites. I love it here.

So, I'll also don the newbie nametag. I've had an Etsy account for a year, but just recently overcame my anxieties about starting a public venture. It's been a tremendous delight, seeing all my passions and creations coming out into the open. Etsy is overflowing with gorgeously talented brains (just visualize that) and I'm riding the fulfillment high that comes with being a part of something so good for the planet. If the economy worked a bit more like Etsy, we'd all be supporting ourselves and one another through eco-friendly, creative pursuits. How wonderful a thought...
