Holiday Shopping Lists: Faux Food

You know what the holidays mean? Eating, eating, eating and a whole lot of gorging!!!...er — at least that's what it means to some of us. This year, you can supplement all the tastiness with faux food. These make really cute gifts (especially for the wee ones, search the Children Category for food). You can also use fake food to decorate the house for the holidays (search the Holiday Category for food). Candycanes, gingerbread men, sugar plums dancing in your head...Think unique, handmade centerpieces, cornicopia style!

Who's gonna have a faux food fight?

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I am in love with absolutely every single one of these items. I think faux food is so clever...especially when it's made out of unexpected materials.

Nov. 17, 2008 at 7:35 p.m. Twinkerbell

These are awesome - but what age group is appropriate for faux food when you're gifting to kids?

Nov. 17, 2008 at 7:48 p.m. bugbitesplayfood

Thank you so much for featuring my Thanksgiving Dinner set! I am still astounded at the amazing talent of the other wonderful felt food makers! Sew on, sew on...

Nov. 17, 2008 at 8:11 p.m. JustFeltHungry

Twinkerbell - I usually specify ages for each of my pieces, but as long as the child no longer puts things in their mouth and doesn't generally tear things apart, most items are OK. Some are just more on the decorative side, and others are fine to play with.

Nov. 17, 2008 at 8:29 p.m. PenelopeAndAnastasia
