As the style editor for Food & Wine, Jessica Romm gets to combine her twin passions for excellent food and amazing design. Every month she tracks the best in tabletop, choosing stunning plates, glasses and other serving pieces to showcase in the magazine. For our summer party planning series with Food & Wine, she shares a few of her favorite Etsy Finds for the perfect Fourth of July celebration.

The Fourth of July is a great time to try all manner of red, white and blue Americana and to cook up all kinds of American food. For any patriotically-minded picnic or barbecue, these are some of my favorite Etsy Finds.

I love the textural prints on these sturdy, hand-thrown plates by atelierBB. They’re great for serving summery desserts after the fireworks.


With printed sayings like "Dee-lish,"  "Good Grub" and "Chow Down,“ these Cutlery Packets by misspicklespress have the perfect balance of craft, style and whimsy.  
 
This durable Upcycled Oven Mitt by  undoneclothing is just the thing for grilling on a hot July night. Wondering what to throw on the grill? I suggest this set of Cookout Party recipes.

These Western Red Cedar Grilling Planks by Amryn are a fabulous tool for grilling salmon  — and customizable cedar planks (with messages engraved in the wood) add a fun element.

I really wish I could get my hubby to grill. We don't even have one. He says, "Hon, we have a George Foreman. You can just put the chicken on that." See, he doesn't want a REAL grill because he knows that if we get one, he'll be cooking on it. He's perfectly content eating pseudo-grilled foods as long as HE doesn't have to cook them, lol!
