Spring Cleaning

As winter comes to a close here in New York, I'm reminded that it's time once again to get busy with my spring cleaning. Come one of these Saturdays (hopefully!), I'm going to pump some Cyndi Lauper, put on my plastic gloves and go to town on my grungy bathroom with some oh-so-fragrant lemon cleaner. This collection is meant to get you excited to clean out those crowded closets, pull off the flannel sheets, open the windows and get ready for a fresh start: spring!

We have had beautiful spring-like weather the last few days here in California. I have been spring cleaning but when the weather's this nice it's hard to stay indoors!
Great cheery front page!

Uhm, I've actually never really spring cleaned. We always mean to. But something happens. So instead we spend random other weekends cleaning.

I can't start cleaning here until the furnace is done running. It's 18 degrees still!

I hate spring cleaning but I do love a clean house! I can almost smell my big old bucket of Mr.Clean! Beautiful spring cleaning list!

I already keep things fairly clean all year-round, but I do get the itch to purge and destash my possessions around this time of year. I go through closets, drawers, bookshelves, craft supplies, etc and try to get rid of things I know I won't wear or use.

I have to recommend "Mrs. Meyer's" Cleaning products--they are worth the little extra $, if you can find them (I get mine at whole foods). They smell so amazing (which makes cleaning more enjoyable--and every little bit helps!) *and* they are eco-friendly. I love them!

I own a used bookstore. As everybody else cleans, they decide now is a good time to drop stuff off. It's all I can do to keep up with the influx of books. And if I wasn't open at the time, they'll leave it on the porch!

Sometimes folks don't bother sorting the stuff for Goodwill out from the books. So sometimes I'll get to the bottom of the box and find records, toys, clothes, etc. The strangest thing I've found in a box left on my doorstep was a BB gun. I still haven't figured out what to do with it...

WOW, spring cleaning? Well back in January is sounded like a fine idea to wax all the floors for spring cleaning, kind of a way to celebrate owning our home for 10 years. But now with life being hectic and craft show season rapidly approaching it sound utterly impossible.

thanks for including my apron!

lots of crafty love! Kelly, Modern June

i have the smallest house known to man, so spring cleaning for my whole house only takes a weekend. My favorite part is taking inventory of all our stuff and purging the dead weight...its so theraputic and I'm actually getting excited thinking about getting rid of a bunch of junk....man I'm lame.

No, you're not lame. I love the feeling of being organized. It makes me feel all tingly inside. xD

I don't know if I'll spring clean, but all the items on this page make me want to buy 'em and use 'em. ^^
