Trends: Oversize Cowls

Oversize is everywhere these days. Big bags, avant garde capes and ponchos, tunics as shirts: bigger is better! Nowhere is this more evident than the oversized cowl trend. This winter accessory is best worn in chunky knits that tend to be on the larger side. Make a statement this winter with an oversize warmer! Your neck will thank you.

Leave it to TeenAngster to find a cool trend. You've been snooping around my workroom, huh? I haven't listed any of my fattie neck scarves (yet). As I am juggling the shop & upcoming craft shows!

My new neck cozies are felted and crocheted...thanks for the showcase on the trend ;) Love, love, love the mosaic. Good to know I was headed in the "right" direction design wise!

Nov. 4, 2008 at 12:21 p.m. EJPcreations

These are beautiful espacialy the super toatsy cowl! But the best thing ever was last week when they spotlighted the shops that made cowls for kittens, and it was modeled by a hairless cat. AMAZING!!! I am a firm believer that hairless cats will one day rule the world if they can just figure out how not to nap so much.

Cowls are the bomb! I'm currently torturing my boyfriend by making him wear both the boy and girly cowls/knits that I'm making on my site. At least he looks mildly amused!

Love that they did a Storque article on this wonderful trend!

Nov. 4, 2008 at 4:01 p.m. belaluna

I love all of these. I think its time to put my long scarf to rest and get a cowl. Funny story I bought one for my father and I forgot he barely has a neck so it was more like a face warmer but I guess I didnt have the heart to tell him he looked so silly. lol
