It's a shape we find echos of constantly in nature: clouds, flower petals, waves, fish, rainbows, and seashells. Perhaps that's why I've been on a self-induced scavenger hunt as of late, hunting for these evocative arches in design of all kinds. There's something so delicate and textural about the scalloped edge...but don't take my word for it, see for yourself!

This is an interesting observation -- I do scallops all the time in my crochet!!
