Aspiring Metalsmiths is a moderated team with the following requirements:

Aspiring Metalsmiths is a moderated team. We welcome those with a demonstrated interest in metalworking. While we are not a lapidary team, we all love stones and we also welcome participation from lapidary artists. Our requirements are: 1) you must have an active Etsy shop, and 2) you must have at least two of your very own metalsmithed items or hand-cut stones listed in your shop. We also ask that you have an interest in actively participating in our community and are willing to share ideas, information, and help other team members to learn and grow. If you meet the above requirements and would like to become member of Aspiring Metalsmiths, just apply for membership using the “Join This Team” button on the left. You will receive a welcome letter shortly from one of the team leaders.

If you don’t meet the requirements to be a member, you are welcome to read and learn from the discussions and apply for membership as soon as you’ve met the requirements. Our definition of “metalsmithed items” includes anything metal that you’ve hammered, stamped, cut, formed, fabricated, forged, or cast yourself, but does not include items that are assembled entirely from prefabricated components.

Absolutely no commercial posting or “spamming” will be tolerated on the team discussion threads. Team members mis-using the discussion threads for commercial spamming will be summarily executed. Or maybe we’ll just revoke your membership and remove your posts :)
