Miniatures In Dollhouse Scales (MIDS) is a moderated team with the following requirements:
1) A member's shop should include acceptable hand-made scale dollhouse miniatures. These miniatures should state the size within the listing in order to provide information for potential buyers that the item really is correct scale size.
In the case of fantasy miniatures the scale shall be deemed appropriate if figures are of equivalent human sizes and can be used in scenes with other scale items intended for general dollhouse use.
Items larger than 1/12th scale (one inch = one foot), i.e. Fashion dolls, Barbies, Blythes, etc., and larger, are not acceptable.
2) Applicable scale handmade items for sale should be tagged with the team tag “teammids” to assist collectors to find them. No other items in a member’s shop may use the team tag including any larger than 1/12 scale items, jewelry and toys larger than 1/12 scale and not intended for use in a dollhouse, supplies and vintage dollhouse items.
This is to build a reliable reputation as an easy way to search for hand-made true scale miniatures for collectors. Members may be requested to remove any inappropriate tags.
3) All members can add photos of scale miniatures, dollhouses, room-boxes, scenes etc. to the Team’s Flickr Group if they have a Flickr account. We look forward to seeing the projects and collections of members in this photo pool. No ’adult’ rated photos allowed. Any inappropriate photographs will be removed.
4) Members are asked to please post regularly in a team thread or let the Leaders know if there is a reason for not being able to. At the Team Leadership’s discretion Members who are not heard from for a month may be deleted from the membership.
5) The Team leadership reserves the right to refuse Membership without giving reasons at any time if any for sale items made by the applicant are deemed not appropriate.
6) Collectors and those interested in taking up the hobby may also join the team as of April 2012, however if they have an Etsy shop selling items other than their own handmade scale miniatures they must not use the team tag and their shop will not be included in lists of team members' shops.
