Etsy Vintage Team is a moderated team with the following requirements:
1. The primary focus of members shop must be vintage goods, vintage supplies, or products handmade with true vintage components (not to be confused with "vintage style," retro, or reproduction items.)
2. Members Etsy Shops must have at least six months of active history (stocked, sales, feedback), giving you proper time to read and understand Etsy's Terms Of Use for selling vintage, as well as following all the Etsy Do's & Don'ts.
3. Members must follow all of Etsy's Tagging Rules concerning vintage for listing your items, and adhere to Etsy's Terms of Use, including listing only vintage items that are 20+ years old and listing hand-crafted items that are made with genuine vintage components in the handmade category.
4. Members are required to maintain high standards. An attitude of professionalism should be apparent, with thorough descriptions that include age, markings/labels, condition and clear photographs.
5. The tag for the Etsy Vintage team is "etsyvintageteam evt", which may be used by certified members only. This tag should be used on all vintage items and hand-crafted items that are made with genuine vintage components. Shop items cannot be found for treasuries if the items are not tagged.
6. Applications are for ONE Etsy shop each. Additional shops by the same owner must apply separately. The “6-months open” requirement is waived for current EVT member shops who wish to add a shop or are transferring their inventory to a new Etsy id. These members should convo the Team Captain.
7. To help with promoting the team, each shop will be required to make at least six Etsy Vintage Team treasuries per year. Eight team members shall be included in a team treasury, with six of those being in the top three rows.
8. Each member will be required to attend at least 3 online team meetings per year. These are currently being held monthly, as 4-day private forum discussions here on our team page. Multiple shops can check in under one ID.
9. Each member should join our Yahoo Group at finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/etsyvintage, as it is our only means of communicating with the entire team. You do not need a Yahoo id to join, any email address will do.
Your shop will be carefully reviewed by several Membership Committee members. The certification process includes reviewing your products, descriptions, tags, policies and feedback. We look forward to hearing from you!
