Market, or not to market?

I have recently been considering the possibility of setting up a stall at a local monthly market. Its no huge craft market, just a small rural hall of stalls..
Have you had much luck from working a market stall? Interested to hear some feedback

I've not done this type of thing but I've done enough craft fairs to know a few things. I suggest going to this market yourself and checking out the customers. Do they look like your target market? Sometimes I get so excited I think everyone is going to love my stuff as much as I do, and it doesn't always work out that way. Ask some of the other vendors. How do your prices fit in with the other things being sold?

Go and take a walk through the space to get a 'feel' for what its like. What items are selling? Who is buying?
What is the demographic of the buyers? Do a lot of people seem to be carrying packages or just a few? What is the pricing like?
If it looks like you would be a good fit, then go for it. But if you are selling Upscale and the crowd is flea market then I wouldn't bother.

Of course, if it is reasonably priced, you might just try it out once and see what happens. Of course, you could have a freakishly good or freakishly bad day no matter who is there!
Some of these things can be surprisingly good, but you should be ready to twiddle your fingers...

Hi. Your items are a little different than the usual craft fair item so u might do well. You will need to have a large invetory though. I sew my brains out before craft fairs & there is always something I'm missing. Good luck!
