About this team

TEAM CHARTER:
This is a "resource" team, our goal is to be so full of members who truly know vintage, that when a buyer sees the seller is from this team, they know they are getting well-researched vintage.
We ask that you do not start new topics/threads, because we need out many resource threads to stay visible!
OK? That aside, if you buy, sell or just like to look at vintage, you will find a lot of useful info here. We learn and share and we have many knowledgeable members and many resource-threads for you to consult when questioning your vintage pieces.
We are not a promotion team. (there are already a lot of teams that are stellar at that!) Self-promoting threads are promptly deleted and boosted off the front page (see our “welcome” letter for more info on that.)

We strive to stand by Etsy guidelines ("Upcycled, reconstructed or significantly altered vintage items are considered handmade. These items should be listed as handmade, not in the Vintage category.") . “Upcycled vintage” is not considered vintage but handmade, so we ask that you stay within these parameters, when doing vl team treasuries and other types of promotions.

One last thing: If you post your newest listings in our New Listings thread, it is MANDATORY that you designate the era or decade. It is also mandatory to show labels for every 80s or 90s item. It is strongly suggested that you show the label from other vintage (but mandatory for 80s & 90s) Also try to state your reasons for why your item is from whatever era you select. The same goes for marks on your jewelry items and other signed vintage.
We pride ourselves on upholding the integrity of true vintage and also providing educational information to earn the trust of our buyers!
