Hi
Is there a way to hide quantities on my listings? I'd rather everyone didn't know how many I had of an item, if everyone knows I have 6 of something they may not purchase there and then unless it says 1 of it, but I want to put more so if it sells then I don't need to renew it straight away as there is another there but the customer just won't see a stock quantity
thanks

So, you want them to be able to guess how many they can buy? What if they want 3 and you have 3 but it says "only one available" and they don't feel like convoing you to ask if you have more so they go to a competitor?

I suppose,I'll trial it with some designs that I do have a lot of and see if any of them sell faster.

It really is all about making it as easy as possible for the Buyer.

Why wouldn't they purchase? Because they want one of a kind or something?

I think she is talking about the urgency or the need to purchase right away. If you have a lot available then the buyer might consider waiting to purchase as there is no urgency to purchase right now.
I do not buy into this thought process, but I know other sellers that do.

My problem with quantities is that when it says "1 available", many buyers think that means that you have 1 made and ready to ship. Everything in my shop is made to order and I state that in several places, but I still have people confused because of the way that the quantity is shown.

Just list them one at a time if you don't want anyone to know how many you've got...that's the ONLY solution.
I love the quantity feature and it's been great for sales.
