Default to the next business day if being printed on a Sunday or holiday. Some POs have an issue with post-dated labels.
Allowing shops to set a cut-off time to rollover to the next shipping date would be nice too.
I know we can manually change the date before printing, but I usually remember that afterwards....

Yep, I agree.

I wish the labels would default away from Sundays and holidays too.
And to the next business day if it's after closing time for most Post Offices (I got caught by that one, when printing a label after 6PM it still said it was shipping out that same day!)
Today it defaulted to shipping on January 1st - so I had to change it to tomorrow.

Since I have specific dates that I ship on, I don't mind setting my shipping date when I print the label.

Quite often its a 'rush' shipment that has to go out that day so the current date is fine.

Regardless of the default, I always double check both the date and the address before I print.

I'm trying to get better about checking too. Not just for the date, but to make sure the customer info transferred over correctly (and not dealing with a bug).

Voiding labels is a pain, but you can always cancel the label if you make a mistake. I think after canceling a couple and waiting forever for the refund has made me better about double-checking the info before hitting purchase.

I'm not saying this wouldn't be helpful, but not even the USPS website does that.

this would be awesome.

I was using stamps.com, and paying a monthly fee for it...but it did all of what I'm suggesting here :)
