I know this has been mentioned before, but maybe it hasn't hit home yet.
Why is anyone allowed to start an account with at least a country of origin? It is very frustrating when someone asks how long a item will take to arrive, or how much a faster method of shipping would be, and they rarely let us know where they are at. Having this be mandatory for ALL members (sellers or buyers) would help save a lot of time for everyone,

Whenever someone requests a shipping quote I'll simply quote rates within the USA, to Canada and for Everywhere else and let them know that for a more detailed quote they will have to let me know exactly where they are.
I generally preface it with "Since I ship internationally and you've not told me exactly where you are, my rates will be ''

I agree. Worth mentioning again Ann! I ship to US and Canada only so it would be helpful info.

Yes please! And sometimes it is not just how fast can you get it here but being able to put a shipping rate together for a custom order or even figuring out whether or not the request can go from the US to the customer. This needs to be there please.

I agree with even Buyers having to post the name of the Country in which they reside, for the purpose of giving accurate shipping quotes when a Buyer convos you, they NEVER mention it.
I have never been good at mind reading..

Although it would be nice to have this info, I would not want it to be mandatory for a buyer only account.

I would like to see this too. I don't need anything more than a country.

If people would read this wouldn't be a problem (were they to read and notice that a seller is in another country, they might actually even realise they could add that information to their question).
My problem with sellers not informing their correct country is when I purchase something over our pathetically low 20+€ limit for VAT-free import. If a seller claims to be for instance within the EU and then later turns out to be somewhere entirely different and I were to get slammed with unexpected import fees to cough up regardless of a potential return, I'd be extremely angry.
