Shipping Profiles & Automatic Update to associated Items

Love the idea of shipping profiles but I find myself intuitively expecting the feature to work such that when I update a specific shipping profile, then all listings tied to that specific profile automatically update with the new information. That makes sense, right? As it is now, unless I am missing something, once I update a specific shipping profile, I have to then go to my listings and manually re-update or re-associate that updated profile with each item, item by item. Tedious, counterintuitive, and a poor use of my time that could be better spent developing new goodies and crafting.
And if for some reason this change would make things counterproductive to some, I would respectfully request at least that this function be made optional - perhaps when one goes to save the profile changes, then ask would you like to apply this profile to all the listings already associated with it?

I just had that thought! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just finished updating my international costs (what an increase!) and now I get to go through 6 pages and click the silly down menus to adjust each one.
If it's at all possible, an automatic update of shipping profiles would be wonderful.

It is crazy that when you UPDATE a shipping profile that it does not UPDATE the shipping profile!!!! URG!
We shouldn't have to go back and re-associate the same shipping profile to each and every item in order for the change to take place. I have over 300 items in my other shop. SOOOO time consuming.

I agree! I would love that to happen. I am wracking my brain trying to figure out what the reason is for not having the shipping profile change be applied universally. Seems like many sellers really want that!!!

if your items all are in the same wight class( or the majority are) you can change all of them by clicking the save changes without doing each drop down..
and then go back and do the few that are the higher weights.. ( I had tried that and it worked but I found out my heavier wieght stuff had to be changed with the drop downs..)
most of my stuff is either the 1-2 oz or in the 3-4 oz level, and a tiny amount at the 5 oz.
some folks can just figure all at one level and do that flat change with the pages.
