New to Etsy

I am thinking about moving some of my items from eBay to Etsy and wanted a little advice. One, can anyone who has sold on both give me your opinion on success rate of one vs. the other. Also, is there a way to research what an item has sold for in the past on Etsy. I can't for the life of me find that function.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer.

I should add that this would be for mostly vintage items.

Thanks again.

Your success will depend largely on what you are selling, and how well you advertise/how many items in your inventory at any given time/etc.
I don't sell anything on eBay except for used clothes, but I definitely prefer Etsy. You're catering to a more specific crowd, I feel. That may be just my opinion. I wouldn't sell my vintage items on eBay, for instance (again, that's just me).

I've been here a little over a month, and I already have had a few sales. I'd say that it's worth it to be here.
Welcome Mona!

I've never sold on eBay, so I can't give you my opinions on that, but I do know that there is not currently a way to research sold prices on Etsy. I understand how that is convenient for vintage sellers, but not so much for handmade artisans. Sold item prices were removed from Etsy for buyer/seller privacy.
