We're focused on improving the shipping experience on Etsy. It's a big project with multiple phases, and we want to get your feedback along the way. To that end, we created a Shipping Improvements Prototype for people who want to test and provide feedback on new Shipping features before they're available to everyone. Some features in the Shipping Improvements Prototype will have bugs at times, some will be beta-only for an extended period of time, and others may be discontinued. You can opt in and out of the Shipping Improvements Prototype any time.
The first shipping improvement we'll test is Estimated Delivery Dates. The goal is to make it clear to you and your customers when an item is expected to arrive, and in the future to offer expedited shipping options. To provide shoppers with Estimated Delivery Dates, we will collect a ships in time (# of days from when you receive an order to when you ship the item) in the listing process, and a delivery time (# of days in transit for the shipping method you ship with) for each country you ship to. The ships in and delivery times are both entered as ranges (e.g. 1-3 days), and the Estimated Delivery Date that shoppers see is the ships in time plus the delivery time. We'll have more details to share soon, and we will let members of the Shipping Improvements Prototype know when we are ready to start testing Estimated Delivery Dates.
