I have tried everything. I have changed titles, tags and descriptions numerous times, uploaded many new items, and all of the sudden over the past three weeks, I haven't had any sales. What has changed? I am taking part in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and there is no activity. When I search for silk scarves, only one of mine comes up and it is the same one over and over, while other shops have numerous scarves coming up. Is there a moderator who can help please!!!!

Why aren't people finding me on Etsy?

I would try changing your titles up a bit. Every title has the same phrase hand painted silk scarf, so the only way you'd be found is if someone searches silk scarf, which is very broad, or hand painted silk scarf. Thats 2 possible searches you can be found in. Are there other ways someone might search for your items? What if someone searches for red silk scarf, or blue silk scarf. You won't come up in those searches.
SEO is a tough thing. I'm in a super saturated market (jewelry) and so everyday is a tweaking, changing, searching thing. There are many threads on SEO in the forums, but one thing I did notice is what Ann mentioned about your titles. I read somewhere that google searches don't like it when there are duplicate titles - all start with "Hand Painted Silk Scarf". Try some titles with the main color of your scarves like - "Blue Silk Scarf" and then Hand Painted or Dyed somewhere else further in the title.
I'm no expert on SEO but that is one thing I do recall reading somewhere (probably in the forums).
Don't give up, you have some beautiful scarves!

Judy, your titles are way too short. Having titles like Tote don't work for search. Here OR google. They both look at titles so if you don't describe what you're selling they don't know what you're selling. And google doesn't like the word free, so having a title that simply says free shipping is not good for google, and certainly doesn't say what the item is.

Doesn't say in the title what it is. Blue and white floral what?
And tags should be phrases, not single words. You'll get many more views if you work on your titles and tags.

Thank you for that - I will definitely change those titles. My actual problem is with the pillows - my titles have been very descriptive but nothing comes up - I am at a loss!! I have spent a lot of time changing titles and descriptions but to no avail! I know we can get this right with a lot of help!
Thank you Ellen for checking out my site - I have just started to change my title and descriptions and haven't gotten to that pillow yet - would you mind looking at another pillow and see what is wrong with those - I changed the yellow and gray one and the blue and white coral one and I find nothing - I'm sure it is just a tweak somewhere - thanks so much!
I am running into the same thing. I have changed everything. Etsy members can find my items but if I am a normal user using Google and I search on my items. El Zippo. Some of my items have been up a week and some will go down tomorrow or deactivate today and I will list them on Ebay. Sorry Etsy, this is pure business. I took a chance going from Ebay to you and my expectation is a user using Google can search and find my item in Etsy which they currently cannot.
