it takes about 48 hours (once it took 5 days for one of mine) for the cancellation to be final, in that time you and the customer can both leave feedback on the transaction.

Was it within the 2 days?

Thank you beesocks. Wow that just seems strange to me, if you cancel an order feedback should be void since the transaction was not completed.

Also, you might refund and cancel but they still have the right to leave feedback.

Most purchases made on Etsy are through Paypal. I believe Etsy leaves that door open to avoid people lying about refunding and simply canceling sales to avoid feedback.

That's just my opinion, BTW, nothing Etsy has said.

Canceling a sale doesn't take away a negative experience for the buyer. I've seen brides in tears because a seller didn't get the bridesmaid's dresses done on time, and waited until just days before the wedding to cancel and refund. The bride was crushed.

I agree Rebecca, on if it is refunded and no order was made or shipped, but it is Etsy's policies.

I thinks its mainly to keep things in check, to keep a seller from being able to cancel and run and avoid bad feedback from their customers.

Thank you everyone, did not know this was the case.
