What's the procedure to find out if anyone has viewed my shop? Thinking about cancelling after 1 month.

I'm with the others. Only four items and one month is NOT long enough to make the decision to quit. You will 'get out of your shop' what you put INTO it. You have done the bare minimum and gotten minimal results!
I GRADUALLY built my shop up over the course of THREE years, and did not start getting 'regular sales' until I had over 100 items listed, AND renewed or listed new items EVERY WEEK.
The 'longer listing time' of 4 months here on etsy is a blessing and a curse. I't costs much less to BUILD inventory in your shop and just 20 cents per listing. BUT THEN there is no 'urgency to buy now' like on 'that other site' where auctions end in 10 days at the most.
Think about it if you ever shopped on that auction site. You most likely waited until the last day or last minute to bid, right? And when you were searching for items, you only had 10 days worth of listings to go through, right?
Here on etsy, the shopper has FOUR MONTHS worth of items to search through. And the search feature will bring up the most recently listed relevant items when a shopper searches. So, every day that your item is listed, it moves FARTHER down the list of what comes up when someone searches.
But for now, you really just need to add more inventory and give it more time!
good luck!
