Original Post

Hello all,
I hope someone can help me.

Last night (it was night over here in The Netherlands) I placed two orderd with two different shops. Both purchases I paid for with my creditcard as a guestuser at Paypal.
I went through all the steps the right way and paid. But both sellers haven't recieved my order and both items are still in my shoppingbasket. But I noticed my creditcard had been charged for both sales.

Anyone have an advice for me??

Kind regards,
Barbara Dijke

Best idea might be to contact Paypal directly ?

I think that your payments are pending.

If it doesn't clear by tomorrow, contact Etsy. Use the link at the bottom of the page.

The sellers should get pending notices.

They didn't get anything: I asked them.
I've send Paypal an email also.
And opened an account also. :-)

After you paid through PayPal, did you finish the purchases on Etsy?
Sounds like you didn't (since the sellers say they did not receive your order).
You want to contact Etsy support.

Sounds like some kind of glitch hopefully it will work it self out if not just follow through with the email and I am sure it will be a headache but it will work out in the end.

I'll contact the support of Etsy as well. Hope it works out.

I think I did it al the right way when ordering. But that could be it if I didn't.

Thanks!

I suspect you might not have submitted the order, after entering your paypal info and password etc you get taken back to etsy and there is a big green button you have to press - again.
You will then see a "thanks for your purchase, here is your receipt" with a link

I bought something with paypal this morning on etsy and i had to try THREE times to get it to go through, it kept saying "this cannot be done at this time" or somthing similar, so maybe there is a glitch.

If the payments are showing on your credit card, the first place I would check would be your purchase history here on ETsy.
www.etsy.com/your/purchases
If they are showing up there, then your purchases did actually go through.

If they aren't there, and you have your paypal email receipt and transaction ID information, then I'd suggest that you contact Etsy support and have them look into it.

You should have received an email from Etsy confirming your purchase as well as one from Paypal

Hi Barbara,

I work for PayPal so maybe I can help. The situation sounds like your bank placed hold on the payment that didn't go through eventually. They are now waiting for PayPal to capture the funds again but since PayPal is user initiated system they never capture the funds again without the buyer's initiative. So in your bank it looks as if it was deducted from your card but in fact it is only held there. If you have not received any email confirmation of your purchase- it was not made.

The fact is that bank will hold your funds for up to 7 days, but if the problem is what I think, you should go ahead and try to pay again.

Best however would be to contact PayPal.
